Who is responsible

The controller of personal data on this website is Descobrilança Unipessoal LDA (NIPC 516940503), R. 2 da Matinha, 5D, 1950-073 Lisboa, Portugal. Contact: info@mediacademy.one.

What we collect

You can watch the whole course without an account and without telling us who you are. An account is optional and only keeps your learning progress across devices.

• Stored in your browser: your cookie choice and your lesson progress (where you stopped and which lessons you watched). If you are not signed in, this stays on your device and is not sent to us.
• Your account (only if you sign in): you can sign in only with your All Portugal ONE account. If you sign in with your All Portugal ONE account, All Portugal ONE (operated by the same company, Descobrilança Unipessoal LDA) sends us your email address, name and ONE account ID. We do not receive your ONE password.
• Learning progress (only if you sign in): for each lesson, where you stopped, when you first watched it and when this last changed. When you sign in, the progress already stored in your browser is added to your account.
• Technical data: when you open a page, our hosting provider processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver the page and keep the service secure.
• YouTube video (only with your consent): when you press play or allow YouTube in cookie settings, the player loads from YouTube (Google Ireland Limited), which receives your IP address and may set cookies.
• Analytics (only with your consent): Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited) and the Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Limited) measure visits and the effect of our campaigns. They use the cookies _ga/_ga_* (up to 2 years) and _fbp/_fbc (up to 90 days).

Why and on what basis

• Account and learning progress: to provide the account you asked for — sign-in and saving your progress (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
• YouTube video and analytics: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw it at any time.
• Technical data needed to deliver the website: processed to provide the service you request. The exact legal basis and retention period for these server logs are under review and will be stated here.

Who processes data for us

• Lovable — website hosting.
• Supabase — database for the course content, student accounts and learning progress.
• All Portugal ONE (Descobrilança Unipessoal LDA) — sign-in.
• Google Ireland Limited — YouTube video player and Google Analytics (only with consent).
• Meta Platforms Ireland Limited — Meta Pixel (only with consent).

Transfers outside the EEA

Google and Meta may transfer data to the United States. These transfers rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

How long

Your account and learning progress are kept while you have an account. Deleting your account deletes your learning progress and the link to your All Portugal ONE account. To delete your account, write to info@mediacademy.one. Cookie lifetimes are listed in the cookie policy. Data in your browser stays until you clear it. Other retention periods are under review and will be added here.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct and erase your data, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability and to withdraw consent at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer. Write to info@mediacademy.one. You can also complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the CNPD (www.cnpd.pt).
